Finally present you with the recipe from the lentils I posted a pic of a long time ago. As I wrote then, these sort of inspired the blog. Because they were very very good and because they seemed to exhibit “umami,” more than any umami burger I’ve had i would say. I wrote the recipe on a piece of paper and then realized I would most likely lose it… which has happened before, thus blog! Yesterday I was cleaning up and I found the paper. I have made this recipe since this first time, actually on thanksgiving, and had to do it from memory. It turned out really well.
But some of our thanksgiving guests didn’t like mushrooms, I remember.
I like the idea of it being a risotto and that is how I conceived of it from the outset, but it would probably more typically be called a stew. Lentil stew is like a familiar thing.
Recipe for soup to be added. Eating two different kinds of very simple green salads together is cool.
